I watched Patrick Lee paint during a quick draw in 2016, and bumped into him later as he was loading his car. I took the opportunity to share my admiration for his work, which is looser and edgier than what I was comfortable with as a collector at that time. I have since assumed ownership of South Street Art Gallery in Easton, MD, and Patrick was the first new artist I invited to join the gallery. Seeing his work, collecting his work, following his career for the last couple of years, has changed my perceptions about art. Patrick is always pushing his boundaries and I’m excited to see new work he shares on social media.
